cursor problems

disappearing cursor?

If your cursors disappear while playing, try each of these steps...

step 1: update you graphics card drivers

step 2: disable 'Vsync'

'Vsync' synchronizes the video data to the refresh rate on the monitor.

Disable vsync. If its set to auto, change it to always off. (AOM does sync by default [auto] although you can also ask it for tripled buffered display which runs faster if you have enough video memory).

to disable Vsync...
'VSync' should be an option within the Display Properties (may be under Advanced... and/or then Additional Properties...) but this depends on the driver. Right-click on the Desktop and select Properties. Choose the Settings Tab and you should find an 'Advanced...' button. From there it depends on the Driver but more than likely it will be under a general section or something specific to Direct3D.

if there's no option to disable vsync in your display properties...
If there's no option you'll need to download and install one of the tweak utilities like Powerstrip, NVmax, Rivatuner or Geforce Tweak Utility (TweakUI), etc.
These present many more options including those that the manufacturers have put in the registry but don't provide access for.

There should be an option called "don't sync buffer swap to refresh rate?" - this is vsync.
Uncheck it. If you can't uncheck it, the card won't support it :(

step 3: use the registry fix to disable hardware cursors
