"Home to the

In this mine you'll meet 2 wizards - both must be destroyed. If you fail to collect the head of the goblin king, you'll have to come back and do battle again! I warn you - do NOT forget to collect everything...

    The maximum points you can receive (to spend on upgrading your character) are:

    killed goblinking 50
    picked up goblinking head 15

    tactics

    This is an medium difficulty level.

    spell choice
    Make Gaion follow you (select Gaion, then right click your portrait) - there's a lot of pestilence about, and she will heal you as you go.

    chaos wizard
    Attack the chaos wizard first - he doesn't have a heal spell and will be easier to kill. Both wizards will require almost a full mana ring of mana to destroy them. When you have a full mana ring, fire as many fireballs at the wizard as you can. Fireballs are notoriously inaccurate, so I suggest you pause the game (and then issue your commands), or make sure the game speed is low.
    The chaos wizard will plead for his life - let him escape and he'll drop a chaos talisman near the entrance - are you sure you've haven't got a chaos streak?

    killing the goblin king
    Balor, the goblin king, has heal, so you must try to kill him in one go, or he will heal himself and come back. As before, you'll need a full mana ring to finish him off with fireballs. When he dies, you'll need to collect his head. He also drop a spell ingredient - iron pyrite - which together with the chaos talisman you just collected will make pestilence. DO not forget to collect both the iron pyrite AND chaos talisman or future levels (i.e. the tavern) will be very difficult.

    step by step
    • When you start the game, move slightly left, pause the game, and fire two fireballs at the golbin on the right, guarding the entrance. Both should die, and they'll no longer be able to sound the alarm.
    • There are 2 PoPs to the south. If you stick to these, the alarm won't be sounded. Put 5 wolves on each, and wait until your mana is full again.
